The solenoid valve is an electrically operated valve. Typically, a solenoid valve is used to control the flow or direction of air or liquid. Solenoid valves are used in both pneumatic and hydraulic fluid supply systems, and most often in configurations with a poppet or spool.

Solenoid valves can be found in devices such as ice cubes, dishwashers, refrigerators and many other household appliances. Devices operating with 12 volt solenoid valves are most often pneumatic devices, but they can also be hydraulic. Many industries use 12 V solenoid valves to power industrial tools and engines, for heating and cooling, electronic, medical, dental, oil, aviation, fuel and automotive equipment.

12 volt hydraulic solenoid are responsible for regulating fluid or gas flow. You can also find 12 volt air or pneumatic valves that regulate the flow of gas or air. The 12-volt solenoid valves are used under vacuum or under low pressure. Such valves are made of plastic or metal and alloys.

The name of the solenoid refers to the voltage that is required for the solenoid to operate. In addition to 12 volt valves, there are also 3c, 6v and 24v voltages. However, the most popular type of solenoid valve is the one with 12v voltage.

12 V solenoid valves can control the flow of gases or liquids through pipes. Unlike other valves, they can be operated by remote devices that activate the solenoid coil. Thanks to the remote control of 12 V valves, they are used to operating dangerous machinery or equipment in places that are difficult to accession.

12-volt hydraulic solenoid valves are controlled by an electromagnet, which is a magnetized coil activated by electric charges. These charges precisely control the flow of gases or liquids through directed electrical charges, sensor signal or hysteresis (device memory).

12 volt hydraulic solenoid valves are manufactured in two types. They are divided into direct action valves and controlled by a remote control. The 12-volt direct-acting valves have a piston that is in direct contact with the inlet opening in the valve body or orifice. The orifice is opened or closed with a piston, which enables or hinders the flow of the medium. Pilot operated 12 volt valves are solenoid valves that are a combination of a pneumatic or hydraulic valve with a smaller solenoid valve. This type of valve works not with a piston, but with a diaphragm that uses a pressure difference to control the flow of liquids or gases.
