How We Test Hydraulic Valves Before Shipment

Every hydraulic valve assembled by Hydraulic Master, both pre-compensated and post-compensated, undergoes detailed testing before it is shipped to the customer. This allows us to verify the assembly, configuration, and overall performance of the valve under conditions similar to real machine operation.

The tests are carried out using our proprietary diagnostic environment, designed and developed by Hydraulic Master. Our test bench enables us to measure the most important hydraulic and electrical parameters of every valve section.

What Do We Check During the Test?

Our testing procedure includes:

  • Relief valve pressure setting and operation
  • Pressure compensator performance
  • Pressure drops across individual sections
  • Peak pressure during function activation and deactivation
  • Electro-hydraulic control line performance
  • Valve response to control signals
  • Smooth and proportional operation
  • Correct operation of every section and flow direction

For pre-compensated valves, we verify their ability to maintain stable flow under changing load conditions.

For post-compensated valves equipped with flow-sharing technology, we also test their performance when several sections are operated simultaneously. This allows us to check how the available oil flow is distributed between active functions.

Individual Test Report for the Customer

The results of every test are recorded. Based on these measurements, we prepare an individual test report, which is supplied to the customer together with the order.

The report may include pressure values, operating curves for individual sections, relief valve settings, pressure drop measurements, and the performance characteristics of the electro-hydraulic control system.

As a result, the customer receives not only a fully assembled hydraulic valve, but also confirmation that the unit has been tested before shipment and operates according to the required configuration.

Testing every valve helps us reduce the risk of assembly errors, shorten commissioning time on the machine, and ensure reliable and safe operation from the very first start.
