Valve for pump truck is a valve designed to use in pump trucks. They are necessary for a pump truck to work, being a crucial part of their hydraulic system. They allow for the pumps to move with high precision, efficiency, and superior traveling performance.

A pump truck is a machine used for transferring liquid in the process of pumping. They are used mainly to transfer liquid concrete. Based on the use case, there are two types of concrete pumps.

The first type of concrete pump is usually attached to a truck. Longer units are being mounted on semi-trailers. It is known as a boom concrete pump. Its name derives from using at uses a remote-controlled articulating robotic arm, called a boom. It allows the pump to place concrete accurately. Boom pumps are used mainly on larger construction sites because they are capable of pumping at very high speeds or volumes. That time-saving benefit of boom pumps is caused by the labor-saving nature of the placing boom.

The second type of concrete pump is called a line pump or trailer-mounted concrete pump. It can be mounted either on a truck or a trailer. This type of pump requires steel or flexible concrete placing hoses to be, which are then linked together and attached to the vent of the machine. This allows for a steady connection. Line pumps pump concrete at lower volumes than boom pumps and are used for smaller volume concrete placing applications. There are also two more uncommon and specialized pumps, named skid-mounted and rail-mounted concrete pumps. They are only used on specialized job sites such as mines and tunnels.

Valves used in pump trucks allow for the control of the pump truck's arms. They are an integral part of their design. The basic function of a valve for pump truck is to stop and start a fluid flow. Depending on a valve being either open or closed, it starts or stops the process of flowing the liquid concrete.
