Hydraulic gear pumps and motors are divided into three sizes, Group 1, Group,2 and Group 3. The groups signify the size of displacement of each pump with Group 1 being from 0.9 cc to 9.8 cc, Group 2 are from 4 cc to 26 cc and Group 3 from 22 cc to 62 cc. The maximum working pressure limit of each pump also is different depending on the application. Pumps can be built with clockwise or anti-clockwise (counter-clockwise) rotation.
