The Scanreco Handy is a durable handheld transmitter equipped with innovative proportional pushbuttons. The movement speed directly corresponds to the button's displacement, allowing for smooth, variable speed control and greater precision compared to traditional single- or dual-step buttons. The large buttons are designed for easy operation, even when wearing work gloves. Four proportional functions can be controlled in two directions simultaneously. An additional operating mode allows for further proportional and digital functions. Labeling areas for text, numbers, or symbols are located on top and next to each button.

Standard AA batteries provide 20 hours of continuous operation, and recharging takes around two hours when connected to the charging cable. In situations where charging is not feasible, users can easily replace batteries without tools. Automatic frequency management ensures uninterrupted operation without interference from other wireless devices. The calibration feature allows authorized users to adjust speed settings without extra tools or software.

The transmitter communicates with the receiver using the Scanreco protocol and a unique identity code, ensuring that no other Scanreco transmitter or product can accidentally activate the machine. The stop function meets the safety level “d” (PL d) according to EN ISO 13849-1, a standard for safety-critical control system components. The Handy transmitter is built for heavy-duty use, delivering reliable performance known as Never-Stop Technology™ from Scanreco.

With pressure compensators in each section, actuators are compensated and maintained a constant pressure drop against changes in load.
