Scanreco RC400 Radio Remote Control Systems

Radio control with a built-in display provides full control over system operation and quick access to key operational information.

The Scanreco RC 400 G2B remote control system has been especially developed for hydraulically driven mobile cranes and machinery. The system is a digital remote control system based on an extremely advanced microprocessor technology. Years of exhaustive and demanding testing have shown that the remote control system can cope with the roughest of environments.

The system is protected against electromagnetic and radio frequency radiation and can be installed onto all hydraulic valve types (voltage, current pulse width, or protocol steered) found on the market.

In its basic form the remote control system is comprised of a portable control unit with manoeuvre levers for proportional control and switches for ON/OFF functions, a central unit with connection cable for driving proportional electro-hydraulic slide controllers.

Digitally coded control information (lever deflection and switch position) is sent from the portable control unit via radio to the central unit. The portable control unit and central unit translate the magnitude and direction of the manoeuvre lever deflections and switch position.

It can be used for six typical proportional functions, e.g.

The Maxi is Scanreco’s most advanced and versatile transmitter with room for many control elements as well as function labeling. The ergonomic housing comes in two basic versions; either with linear levers or joysticks. The Maxi has a modular design and can easily be adapted to suit your requirements.

The transmitter has a bundle of both standard and optional settings and features to improve the operator experience. The maximum speed of proportional movements can be adjusted using a “turtle/rabbit” toggle switch in five steps. A high performance color display, a monochrome display or LEDs enable operator feedback from the controlled machine.

Automatic frequency management allows for continuous operation without any interruptions caused by radio interference from other wireless equipment.

The transmitter communicates with the corresponding receiver using a Scanreco protocol and a unique identity code. This guarantees that no other Scanreco transmitter or other product ever can activate the machine unintentionally. The stop function conforms to performance level “d” (PL d) as specified in EN ISO 13849-1, a legally binding standard for safety-critical components of control systems.

The Maxi transmitter is designed for heavy-duty use and we know that our customers rely on our ability to deliver functionality they can trust – we call this NeverStop Technology™ from Scanreco.

The set includes a sensor and an MDC card with a measuring range of 0–400 bar (0 - 5801,5 psi) for the main boom.
