The shuttle valve, also known as an OR valve, has two inlet openings and one outlet opening. The inlet opening with the higher pressure moves the closing element towards the other inlet opening and closes it. This means that the inlet opening with the higher pressure is always connected to the outlet opening and the other is closed.
