Information
Pressure sequence valves are mainly used for sequence control of hydraulic cylinders. In the example opposite, this means that cylinder 2 is only extended when the pressure in cylinder 1 reaches the value set on the valve. A bypass non-return valve is installed to ensure an unimpeded return flow.
As the valve does not have a pressure-balanced piston, the load pressure of cylinder 2 must be added to the set pressure to set the opening pressure. The valve is preferably used in applications in which a consumer (cylinder) requires a lower pressure.
