The valve keeps the volume flow in port C | P constant regardless of the load pressure and input volume flow. The residual oil flow in T | T is discharged to the tank without pressure. Back pressure in T | T may influence the regulated flow rate in C | P. Thanks to the bypass check valve, the flow can pass through the valve in both directions.
The additional use of a pressure relief valve between the flow control valve and the consumer is essential.
