Information
The pressure relief valve, also known as the maximum pressure valve or safety valve, has the task of limiting the pressure in a system.
It therefore protects the components and lines from operating above the maximum system pressure.
When the specified pressure is reached, the initially closed valve opens and discharges the excess volume flow from port P to port T into the tank.
The pressure relief valve described in this data sheet has a conical seat. The advantages of this design are its absolute tightness and fast response.
Directly controlled pressure relief valves operate depending on the volume flow. Due to their design, these valves do not open precisely at the set pressure.
With the valve described, it is possible to protect two separate hydraulic circuits in just one housing.
